She spent decades putting books into the hands of millions of children, championing literacy and giving kids opportunities her own father never had.
The National Education Association called her a Friend of Education. The American Library Association honored her for helping ensure access to books for all children.
Today, SEA honors Dolly Parton.
Thank you for showing what it looks like to believe deeply, give generously, and still leave room for every child to belong. 🌸
