🚨 THE PUBLIC SCHOOL IS BORROWING MONEY TO OPERATE. THE ROOFS LEAK. THE HVAC IS FAILING. KIDS WERE SENT HOME BECAUSE SEWAGE BACKED UP THROUGH THE SINKS.

And LifeWise wants the school district’s land. 🤑

Union Local School District is facing $30+ MILLION in essential repairs and borrowed $2.6 MILLION just to cover operating expenses.

Meanwhile, LifeWise says transporting 2nd–7th graders off campus has been “challenging for both students and teachers.” So LifeWise wants to lease or BUY district property and build a facility there.

And here’s a hell of a detail:

If the property is valued above $10,000, it would have to go to public auction. According to the meeting minutes, LifeWise would prefer to avoid that “due to the nature of their organization.”

What exactly does THAT mean?! 👀

Because LifeWise isn’t some broke little church ministry looking for somewhere to hold Bible study.

LifeWise reported $39 MILLION in revenue in FY2025. Its previous IRS filing reported nearly $25 MILLION in net assets. LifeWise’s own audited financial statements say it owns and operates a fleet of vehicles and ordinarily leases facilities from churches and other third parties.

Yet here we are discussing PUBLIC SCHOOL PROPERTY because getting children off campus is challenging…And even the committee noted concerns about the district’s financial situation and that selling property below market value could create negative public perception…

YA THINK? 😡🤬😤

🚨This is the kind of stuff we keep warning communities about. The public school needs money to keep its roof, HVAC and plumbing functioning. LifeWise has money.

-First, LifeWise needs public schools to release children during the school day.

-Then it needs districts to accommodate the schedule.

-Then transportation becomes a problem.

-And now the solution being discussed is PUBLIC SCHOOL LAND.

All while this district is trying to find the money to keep its own buildings functioning. 👀

LifeWise reported $39 million in revenue. Union Local has $30+ million in essential repairs.

So here’s a radical idea:

THE PUBLIC SCHOOL GETS THE PUBLIC SCHOOL RESOURCES.

Stop making public education bend so private religious education can expand.
