🚨 THIS ISN’T JUST ABOUT LIFEWISE.
And it sure as hell isn’t just about a few kids leaving school for Bible class.
On September 23, 29 U.S. senators put their names behind a resolution calling on every state in America to accommodate students leaving public school during the school day for religious instruction.
ALL 50 STATES.
The resolution is nonbinding. It doesn’t change the law. But look at the bigger picture.
-Across the country, states are changing released-time laws from “may” to “shall.”
-Local school boards are losing discretion.
-LifeWise is expanding into the states where those barriers are being removed.
-Public money is increasingly flowing toward private and religious education through vouchers, tax credits and reimbursements.
-And now released-time religious instruction is being promoted from the United States Senate.
This is what Christian nationalism looks like in education policy.
🚫Not one dramatic law declaring America a Christian nation.
✅ A hundred smaller changes that steadily move Christianity further into government and public education while moving public resources and authority away from the secular public-school system.
LifeWise is one piece.
Released time is one piece.
Vouchers are one piece.
10 commandment display laws are one piece.
Chaplain bills are one piece.
Religious charter schools are one piece.
STOP looking at the pieces separately.
That’s how you miss what they’re building.
What people are saying:
- Secular Education Association: 📌 WHO PUT THEIR NAME ON THIS?

But there should be no confusion about who has formally put their name behind its nationwide call for accommodation of released-time religious instruction.Official resolution:

The Senate resolution doesn’t merely recognize religious schools.
It specifically says:
“religious instruction can come from a variety of sources, including sectarian schools and released time programs.”
It invokes Zorach v. Clauson and then calls on:
“each of the 50 States, each territory of the United States, and the District of Columbia”
to accommodate students who leave public-school attendance to attend religious classes. That language is explicit.
This is also not the first time this resolution has appeared. Sen. Lindsey Graham introduced substantially the same “Religious Education Week” resolution in 2024 and 2025. The 2025 version likewise promoted released time and called on all 50 states to accommodate it.

The current resolution is nonbinding. It does not itself change state law.
But nobody has to take our word for what they’re advocating. They put it in writing.
- Facebook User: Except it will only apply to Christian entities
- Facebook User: Bitch about school’s test scores not being high enough… Then pull kids out of school while they should be learning. Stupidest shit ever.
