SEVENTY YEARS APART. SAME PROBLEMS.
Americans United for Separation of Church and State recently published an article examining how families have been affected by released-time religious instruction programs across generations. And our work is featured in it.
The article highlights a family’s experience documented by SEA, demonstrating that many of the concerns surrounding these programs haven’t changed in decades.
We’re glad to see our work reaching a national audience and, more importantly, the experiences of affected families being heard.
The programs may have changed. The organizations may have changed. But the concerns surrounding religious pressure, exclusion, and public schools are remarkably familiar.
Thank you to the families who trust us with their stories. Your voices matter.
